Dear Taylor (taylorswift),
My name is Sydney Chalmers and this is my brother Derek, your biggest fan. Six months ago on May 23, 2014 the worst day of my life, my worst nightmare happened before my eyes; he passed away unexpectedly. He always went on and on about how he wanted to see you in concert. Some of his favorite songs include Mine, We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together, Stay Stay Stay, and Everything Has Changed. (I have more videos of him singing these songs if you are interested.) Honestly, I can almost hear him singing Shake it Off in my head because I know he would’ve adored it but he never got to hear it. Anyway, if you’re reading this right now and you watched the video, first of all I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to do so. Now I’m going to ask you to help me and my family honor my brother’s memory. My older sister wants to host a Battle of the Bands in our hometown. Though you were without a doubt Derek’s favorite musician, music was everything to him and he listened to everything from Simple Plan to Miley Cyrus. I know what I’m asking for is very big and probably won’t happen but I’ve seen what you’ve done for others and I know that you are one of the nicest genuine celebrities out there and it would me so unbelievably much to my family and I if you could come this summer to Cranston, RI (not too far from one of your homes!!) and perform at this Battle of the Bands in Derek’s memory.
Taylor, I know what I’m asking is a lot, but it would honestly mean the world if you could contact me (message me here, or my Twitter is @sydchalmers) and we could talk about making this happen. I would be eternally grateful as would the rest of my family and I know Derek will be looking down from wherever he is dancing and singing his heart out. Please help me!
